With this type of necklace the Kettenmacherin plays with symmetrical patterns of the beads. 18 out of 20 beads are identical for each necklace, even though at first glance this might not seem so. The artist uses for some works a horizontal and for other works a vertical pattern. Rotating freely around their axis a horizontal pattern always looks the same while a vertical pattern never looks the same. This results in a unique look each time you wear the necklace. Finally, the exciting color design – one of the Kettenmacherin’s trademarks – makes each necklaces an unique masterpieces.
“Changing the starting point and the resulting pattern has a decisive influence on how one sees the necklace. It falls as it falls. Sometimes one color is more prominent, sometimes another.”
